How many times have you looked at a movie and thought, "What would this movie be like without this actor?" or "What would future actors have to live up to if this actor passed?" Most of us probably haven't, because in that moment of action/comedy/dramatic genius, it feels like they will live forever. Unfortunately, like all of us, our heroes in the movies are all mortal, and nothing proves that more than the death of a beloved Actor.
Leslie Nielson died yesterday[11/28/10] at the age of 84. I'm sure you have seen several of his movies, and TV appearances which, according to Wikipedia, he brought real and unique life to more than 220 characters spanning over 1,500 television programs and 100 films. If you don't recognise the name, you need to go back and watch[or Re-Watch 10-50 times] some classics like Airplane!, the first Naked Gun[and 2 1/2 and 33 1/3] and many others for a full list you can check out his page on IMDB(Internet Movie Data Base).
Thankfully, movies and TV programs are immortal, and will still be seen long after we are. And even if somehow that movie gets lost, or forgotten by our children. It will always live on in our hearts. But, all of this still begs the question What funny guy will strike us next? Guess thats one of the things we will have to wait and see.
